FIELDS OF HISTORY

I’m Jim Fredlund, a photographer and visual historian documenting the places, landscapes, and communities where America’s past remains visible. From Civil War battlefields and historic covered bridges to monuments, cities, and hometown streets, my work is rooted in a simple purpose: to create an honest visual record of what remains today.

Over the years, my photographs have appeared in publications, galleries, and corporate collections across the United States. But the purpose has remained the same — to preserve these places through photography and share the stories held within them.
